True Story Behind the Project The Real Story Behind Derecho Shrimp Derecho Shrimp is a true story filmed on location at The Laurie (Loucks) Burt Wildlife Sanctuary. The story follows real events involving wildlife, storms, rescue, healing, and the kind of moments that stay with you forever.

The project began with real-life animal encounters, but it grew into something much larger. It became a story about courage, family, prayer, and the way God can move through even the hardest seasons. The theme song reflects that same spirit.

This is not fiction shaped to look real. It is a lived story, told through books, music, and film.

This song is both an anthem for other journalists and a prayer for those seeking answers through prayer. It speaks to the reporter who refuses to ignore suffering, and it also speaks to the hurting soul who is asking God to see, help, and answer. The Press badge stands for accountability, compassion, and truth, while the prayer beneath the song points to mercy, healing, and divine justice.

Look Away is one of the key songs in Broken Sanctuary. It was written after a painful season when police looked away from criminal acts involving our property and family for the last time. That experience became the heart of the Look Away prequel song, and the full version grew into a bold anthem about what happens when truth refuses to stay silent.

Broken Sanctuary tells the truth of a life lived before God — unfiltered, honest, and marked by both struggle and grace. In it, we see the quiet foreshadowing of God’s hand and the certainty of His answers. God Answers: The Ballads continues that journey in song, declaring that even when challenges rise and the road feels uncertain, God remains a very real presence. He teaches us to stand, to endure, and to wait on His perfect timing.

“Deathmate” is a hauntingly beautiful spiritual ballad that journeys from despair to divine redemption. Opening with a quiet instrumental lament of cello and French horn, the song paints a symbolic chessboard where “Checkmate” meets “Deathmate,” and the soul rises beyond defeat through faith in God’s grace.

Each verse unveils an awakening — from the ashes of struggle to the revelation of mercy. The imagery of birds, especially the turtle dove and eagles, becomes a living testament to resurrection, protection, and the eternal promise of renewal. The melody carries the listener through loss, revelation, and rebirth, culminating in a powerful orchestral fade that mirrors the soul’s ascension.

Blending sacred tones with lyrical storytelling, “Deathmate” stands as both confession and celebration — a musical testimony of salvation, forgiveness, and unwavering trust in divine will.

Genre: Christian Rock, True Story Duration: 4:17

A 6th-grade pitcher's defiant stand against three taunting boys becomes divine preparation for the green Plymouth stalker who hunted her spring 1976. Mauve Doberman Rosie—hazel eyes, pink nose—appears one month early, her silent heart-to-heart instructions (Jeremiah 29:11) guiding diagonal dash to safety: "Don't turn, keep running—God is with you."

Mom's March 2026 holy fire witness (age 85) reveals beer bottles propped on sidewalk—proof he wasn't delivering, he was stealing her. 50-year facial recall chills. Pitcher's arm resists his grab. Door opens two seconds spare.

Hmmm... ammmm... ahhhhmmm worship outro lifts this true testimony heavenward—offering to God, Rosie, Mom who lived.

"Fields of Ghosts": Boys failed. Stalker grabbed. Mauve Rosie saved. Mom's 85yo beer bottle bombshell. Jeremiah 29:11 worship from Spring '76 survival. Rosie Doberman soundtrack drops 3/6/26.

"61 Dragons" – Track Story from Broken Sanctuary Subject: Lionel: King of the Pool Pond – A Memoir of Cliffhanger Suspense Humiliation traded for rescue.

Summer of 2025: Lionel, King of the Pool Pond, staunchly defended his territory—chasing off rival dragonflies while posing playfully for Lisa's camera, mating as his female laid eggs in her sacrificed swimming pool, now a wildlife sanctuary pond. Dozens of creatures mysteriously found refuge there, all documented through her lens.

November 14: Tears fell as she spotted what she believed had to be Lionel's offspring in the ice-chunked pond—a divine gift amid collapse. Though other dragonflies did arrive and Lionel chased them off, some offspring could belong to others—Lisa believes most are Lionel's. Over the following week, winter storm looming, she waded in, pleading, "Step out now or you'll freeze and die." She rescued 61 nymphs, promising care.

In separate cages—their carnivorous nature demanding it—each nymph (and the dragons—some cultures see dragonflies as dragons, loved ones returned, divine messengers) carried a knowing presence (angels? Holy Spirit?) that urged her to write these experiences out. Lessons first shaped her forthcoming book; Lisa decided not to stop there, but write into a song too. This captures the divine rescue amid her family's cliffhanger suspense: husband's cancer, court fraud unearthing pets, harassment, vandalism. Their world collapsed, leaving only each other and faith... until that too was divided.

Lionel buzzed warnings, landing on her hand, foretelling the storm. She dreams of next summer's frenzy of wings in a cloud that stirs and emerges victoriously—dragons for the 2026 season, she hopes they'll find their way to another's hand and bless them.

WHITEWATER FALLS, MN — January 3, 2026— Award-winning author, artist, and composer Lisa Loucks-Christenson debuts; “Witness in the Dark” Prelude—setting the stage for the full song she will perform in her forthcoming thriller; The Other Dead Sister (Book 16: Wolves of Whitewater Falls).

Written, arranged, and produced by Loucks-Christenson, this atmospheric prelude captures the emotional depth and wolf lore of her Wolves of Whitewater Falls series. The full vocal performance by Lisa Loucks-Christenson releases later this year, expanding the haunting spoken-word and layered sound design into a cinematic experience.

Loucks-Christenson is reimagining her 16-book series as seasonal television adaptations — each book becoming a full season of standard-format television episodes personally adapted by the author. Audiobooks are under consideration, though Loucks-Christenson has dedicated all of 2026 to this multimedia expansion, including the Soul of a Cougar spin-off and Ghost Town Wolf Pack stories.

“The Wolves series was always meant for the screen,” Loucks-Christenson says. “Each episode will bring the wilderness, the wolves, and the human heart to life.”

Award-winning visual artist Loucks-Christenson (Don’t Eat Bees!) creates all Wolves of Whitewater Falls covers digitally, earning multiple cover design awards. In Search of Spirit Wolf (Episode One) and Wolf Eyes (Story Preview Edition) achieved #1 International Bestseller status on Amazon. The other books have not been released.

The “Witness in the Dark” full performance releases later this year with behind-the-scenes content and pre-order details for The Other Dead Sister (Book 16: Wolves of Whitewater Falls).

Prologue Teaser

Annie crouched in the moonlit clearing, breath fogging the December air. The black wolf watched from the fallen blue spruce, eyes like embers. Not aggressive. Protective. She’d felt it since her sister’s unexplained death five years back—the night the beast first appeared at the cabin’s edge.

“He knows,” she whispered to the dark. Whatever hunted her family, it was closing in.

Inspired by a real Thanksgiving night encounter — an intruder fleeing through Loucks-Christenson’s woods without a vehicle, his wolf-like stare piercing the cold.

Track Description "Lioness Shield" explodes from the February 22, 2026 moment Lisa Loucks-Christenson discovered noose-heart-like folded wires centered on her next step in the Laurie (Loucks) Burt Wildlife Sanctuary—but looked down first. Written, produced, and released within hours, this crushing anthem confronts 33 years of stalking across three battlegrounds:

1993: First death threat—photo studio break-in, dead sparrow eyes stitched shut hung in window

2005-2020: Whitewater Valley barbed wire cuts around Canary Grass/cottonwoods grove

2012-2026: Sanctuary attacks culminating in Feb 22 noose-trap

Key Threats Immortalized in Riffs:

Bullet shells + animal body parts/blood warnings

Shaved steel brakes, 3 missing lug nuts + front plate removal

Dead sparrows (eyes sewn shut), burned bats at hell's gate, tortured raccoon (forensics confirmed)

Barbed wire ambushes, computer tampering, dark break-ins

Musical Arc:

Intro: Crushing riffs + "Stalker, 33 years—you're no match for God!"

Verses: Driving testimony of sanctuary resilience (50+ oaks, hawks, deer thriving)

Chorus: Explosive hooks—"Three lug nuts removed... you didn't get me!" + "Exodus 19:4"

Bridge: Half-time breakdown—"TRAPPED IN YOUR HELL—33 YEARS OF RAGE!"

Outro: Signature humming victory—"Hmmmm-. Aahhhhm amen. God of protection, thank You."

Core Declaration: "I am a lioness of my own path, not a coward trailing God's child."
